The bone is extracted from remains found in the forests of Michoacán, Mexico. Silver is also purchased from sources that are highly reputable and verified for authenticity and provenance. You can be sure that our creations are made with high-quality, environmentally friendly materials that will last from generation to generation with proper care.

Here are some tips for the proper care of our products:

Parota wood

All Parota wood hand-carved products are finished with beeswax. Thus, the dust will remain on its surface and it will be very easy to clean and condition. Remove dust with a dry cloth and gentle circular movements. Apply red oil, lemon furniture oil or linseed oil to polish and restore necessary moisture to the wood. You can find red or lemon furniture oil at any hardware or furniture store, and flaxseed oil at any organic store. Remember that this material should not come into contact with water.

.925 Silver

It is natural for .925 silver to suffer oxidation and tarnishing, either due to exposure to the elements or the PH of the skin. Ideally, you should store silver in a cool, dry and ideally airtight place. Do not expose your silver pieces to perfumes, artificial light, brightness, sun, sweat, grease, salinity or alkaline agents for long periods of time. Avoid storing it in a place that has direct contact with wood, as it may contain acids that dull the silver. Clean it with a special jewelry polishing cloth or liquid silver cleaner. You can also submerge it for about 10 minutes in soapy water (not detergents) or baking soda from time to time to maintain its shine and beauty. Do not use toothpaste as it is very abrasive and can scratch it. If necessary, you can carve the piece with a soft brush. Finally, dry the piece with a dry absorbent cloth. stores each of the silver pieces individually, to prevent them from scratching each other. Similarly, avoid sleep or bathe with them on.
